Sabine Lecorre-Moore was surrounded by art from an early age. Born in Montreal and raised in a medieval, French village, her home was filled with antique furniture and art. She traveled regularly to Paris with her family to explore museums and shops, always in awe of the beauty that surrounded her.
A few years after, Sabine began private lessons in oils painting. In 1986 she enrolled in a special high school for visual art where she discovered acrylic painting, traditional texturing and layering techniques.
Upon graduating high school, she was promptly accepted to a well-known art school in Belgium called L’Institut Superieur de Peinture Van der Kelen, where she studied classical technique in oil paints. On graduations she received a bronze medal for her artistic achievements.
Finally in 1991, she settled in Calgary, Canada . Sabine spent 15 years working as a commission artist for architects, designers and private clients. She now dedicates more time to canvas art and hosts studio exhibits.
